BIRTH RATES
Depending on climates the Pocket Gopher may
have up to 5 litters a year. Each litter is
from 1 to 13 young, gestation is typically
19 days. In about 40 days the infants are
weaned. They begin digging their own tunnels
at 1 year of age, when they will breed and
begin the cycle again.
